Assessment Description:
The key moral principles are respect for autonomy, non‐maleficence, beneficence and justice. In this
essay please discuss the importance of complying with ethics and ethical frameworks in professional
practice. In particular, discuss how counsellors or community service professionals can demonstrate
the practice of ethics in their professions. That is, what practical steps or strategies can they use to
show that they are being “ethical” in their practice? Use examples, research and theory to inform
your discussion.
What we want to see:
This essay will incorporate a formal introduction, main points and conclusion; as this is an essay,
the introduction and conclusion, as well as individual paragraphs addressing different issues
should not be flagged with subheadings, but incorporated in the essay.
The work must be fully referenced with in-text citations and a reference list at the end. We
recommend you work with your Academic Writing Guide to ensure that you reference correctly.
