After reading the DSM-5, I think it is plausible for Mr. Underwood to diagnose two separate conditions associated with alcohol. This include alcohol intake and withdrawal of alcohol. Mr. Underwood has satisfied many medical requirements for his condition within the 12-month time span because of the substance use disorder. Mr. Underwood also consumed high levels of alcohol and even consumed it for a long period of time. The assessment reported that he was drinking about 1 liter of vodka a day from weekends to every day. He was keen to cut back or to regulate his alcoholic abuse. He was ineffective. Again, Mr. Underwood admitted that over the years he has been attending several Alcoholic Anonymous gatherings. In the diagnostic components, he addresses work output that could be impaired by alcohol afterward or by true poisoning at work. Mr. Underwood has claimed that the loss of focus while at work impacts his job. Alcohol use conditions in families exist according to the DSM-5, with 40-60 percent risk variety attributed to inherited factors. In his father and paternal grandparents, Mr. Underwood had a family history of dependency on alcohol.
Mr. Underwood appears to follow the criteria for alcohol use disorder diagnosis at this time.
