e-Portfolio entry related to a patient with altered anatomy or physiology (750 words)

This assignment has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your
achievement of the following module learning outcomes:
LO1. Demonstrate a sound understanding of normal physiology in the adult
LO2. Discuss anatomy and physiology related to specific systems.
LO3. Have gained an understanding of the impact of altered physiology on patient’s wellbeing
LO 4. Identify a range anatomical abnormalities and their effect on patient wellbeing

Task requirements
 CW1: A 750 word assessment which allows the student to identify the effects that anatomical
abnormalities can have on a patients well being (LO4). P/F Submission date: Electronic submission
via turnitin.
 The student is expected to investigate a condition of concern that causes altered anatomy and/or
physiology. The student will write a 750 word assignment that investigates the condition in question
and the effects that it has upon a patients health.
 Key points:
 This is not a reflective account of the care the patient received, rather an investigation into the
condition from which they suffered
 The emphasis of the work must be on the anatomy and/or physiology of the condition
 Remember to include implications for practice
 Use references to support the work

Submission details
 This assignment should be submitted electronically. Please use the relevant Turnitin submission
point in the Submit your work area in your Blackboard module shell.
 Please ensure that your work has been saved in an appropriate file format. Turnitin will only accept
the following file types: Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, PostScript, PDF, HTML, RTF,
OpenOffice (ODT), Hangul (HWP), Google Docs, or plain text. Your file must also contain at least
20 words of text, consist of fewer than 400 pages and be less than 40MB in size.
 You can submit your work as many times as you like before the submission date. If you do submit
your work more than once, your earlier submission will be replaced by the most recent version.
 Once you have submitted your work, you will receive a digital receipt as proof of submission, which
will be sent to your forwarded e-mail address (provided you have set this up). Please keep this
