Use of Social Media in a crisis Situation Sample

Semester 2 assessment

This assessment involves completing four patches. For each patch you need to:

  • Demonstrate the completion of one or more tasks.
  • Write a reflective account of how this/these task(s) were done.

The tasks do not count towards the word count. The word count for the reflective writing is 1500 words +/-10%. Therefore, the maximum words allowed is 1650 words. We recommend that you get as close to this as possible. Each reflective piece should be about 400 words long.

Advice on reflective writing:

Please use the specified reflective model for each patch

  • Patch 5 – Gibbs (1988) Reflective Model
  • Patch 6 – Kolb’s (1984) Reflective Model
  • Patch 7 – Rolfe, Freshwater and Jasper’s (2001) reflective model
  • Patch 8 – Students choice

Your reflections focus on completing the task, not the content of the task. You should focus on…

  • What you did.
  • How you did it.
  • What decisions you made in completing the task.
  • Why you made these decisions.
  • What problems you encountered.
  • How you overcame these.
  • What skills you developed.
  • What you learnt.
  • How you felt.
  • How you worked with others.
  • How you might have done things differently.
  • How you might improve.
  • Lessons for the future.

Do not see these as a set list of questions to answer, but as suggestions of the type of things you might write about
